Sharon Kendrick has written over sixty novels for Harlequin Mills & Boon and regularly wows readers in America, Japan, Iceland and Europe.  She is read in Hebrew and Afrikaans and puts the incredible popularity of her books down to the fact that romance is a universal language which women never tire of. She has taken part in the Edinburgh Literary Festival and regularly talks about her books on television and radio.

Romantic Fiction flies off the shelves all over the world, but how do you write it?  By creating an unstoppable read with characters who really matter, and by analysing the following:

The irresistible hook
Character-led, or plot-driven?
The Alpha Male
A sympathetic heroine
Emotion and character development

There will be practical writing exercises during the workshop, as well as an opportunity to discuss tips on how to make your work stand out - and to maximise your chances of publication.
