The tutor, Emma Neuberg, is a textiles designer and artist who trained at the Royal College of Art and now works with the Textiles Environment Design research group at the University of the Arts London.
The aim of the workshops is to create a space in which to learn new skills, develop textile techniques, explore key issues within the area of textiles & the environment, practise sustainable thinking and experience artworking in a group.
Emma will give instruction in technique and theory that aims to foster deep learning, vision and insight. It is hoped that, over time, a Slow Textiles Sewing Group may evolve. For fun, focus and exhibition.
The cost is just £120 for the 6 week practical course or £35 per workshop (£25 with a Student Card). All materials are included. To clarify, there are 4 Practical Workshops and 2 Independent Guided Study days.
(See TIMETABLE for further details).
